I woke up this morning and had this beautiful view outside my windows.
A i got up and read my bible this verse leaped out.
So lets be satisfied with His Mercy and rejoice and be glad all yes every day.
And think of all our blessings and give Jesus thanks.

First day

Started not early today. We had decided this should be a take it easy trip. Not rushing it.and since we had said this would be a slow drive we stopped and looked at what we wanted to see.pineapple, odd buildings I have wanted to see for years. And when we saw a motive. The pad differs has still escaped us. I mean the good looking one.
Lunched at rock view before Kandy for lunch to enjoy the view and the rice buffet was very good. 600. Rs for a buffet and good food then I don't complain.
We thought about visiting the tea museum but headed for Kandy and parked there.
Looked at the world war 1 memorial stone or the Great War as it is called.
As customary when guide is tired and passenger is a bit fed up ice cream is very handy.
So ice cream we bought and conjured watching the marked and the traffic. We had enough and head out and towards Ramboda Falls.
And what is the first thing we did when we came to Ramboda?
A pot of coffee, as we say. First thing first , may I add the essential thing. Or as our good Sherlock Holmes said: that's elementary mr dear Dr.Watson.
And now I sit here up the upcountry and enjoy the cooler weather. Listening the relaxing waterfall and awaits the food to be ready.

Nytt år - Sinhala and Tamil New Year

Every year there is the Sinhala New Year and sure enough Elizabeth's school had the annual arrangements. The kids had dressed up in traditional Sri Lankan customs. And this last Friday Elizabeth was dressed up in her best. What I like about her school is that they have pu a christian twist on it. 

Vert år feirer de Sinhalesisk nytt år på Elizabeth sin skole. Og tradisjonen tro hadd de også denne feiringen i år også på fredagen som var. Med foreldrene som stod i klynge utenfor skolen og ikke fikk slippe innenfor. Barna vart pent åynta opp i tradisjonelle Sri Lankiske drakter, guttene i sarong og skjorte mens jentene i i vakre sarier og mye mer. Det jeg liker med denne skolen er at de har lgd en kristen vri på feiringen på skolen.Og da sier vi bare subha aluth awrudak wewa.
