experiencing Vesak
Vesak is the celebration of Buddha when he was born, got the enlightenment and his death. According to traditions all happened on the very same day.
This is therefore a very important day for the Buddhist and celebrated today.
This they celebrate through having procession and Dansals, giving out free food.

Vesak er dagen da Buddha feires i Sri Lanka. Pa denne dagen ble han etter tradisjonen fodt, ble opplyst og dode. Dette fieres pa denne dagen og rundt omkring i landet har de prosesjoner, dvs Perahera. Et opptog som gar forbi templet og det er veldig interesangt. I really want to share With you a few verses. What kind of attitude do you let rule in Your heart when a situation arise? Worry, fear, anxiety? Today my daughter had her exam and I reminded her about the scripture to cast all onto the Lord. I read this verse later and as it says: BUT of POwer and Love and sound mind. When situations arise and they will come my friend we can With a sound mind and His love overcome these situations. Be filled With Gods Love. By grace

See, God was more than willing to handle my problem if I was willing to forget it and spend time worshipping Him. When we worship the Lord, we release the emotional or mental burden that weighs us down. It is swallowed up in the awesomeness of God. When we keep our eyes on Him and worship, we will always see His plan for our lives work out all things for our good. The Bible says there is no lack for those who truly worship the Lord with godly fear. Do you want to be sure all your needs will be met? Then remember to worship, not worry. ukeslutt
Vi har kommet til vegs ende pa enda en uke. Imorgen er det sondag , Gud sin hviledag. For meg og Nathan blir det studering igjen og det ser vi frem til
Jeg liker de klassene for vi lerer Nye ting og se programmer fra en ny vinkel.
Idag kom vaar datter Sithma hjem fra misjonsturen I Jaffna. Den turen hadde Four Square menigheten I Negombo arrangert for ungdommene. De har hatt en fin tur der de fikk delt Guds ord og vert til oppmuntring for barnehjemmet der oppe.
Forstar det har vert stor stas og det gleder meg.
Loerdag er dagen da en tar igjen det en ikke far tid til ellers I uka pga arbeid.
Rydde, handle, ga I banken, posten, lese m.m.
Det er mye som en skal gjoere og da ma en planlegge litt.
Nar en summerer opp syns jeg vi fikk gjort mye denne uka og ikke minst idag,.
Jeg ser frem til imorgen og vet det blir en ny dag fra Herren og den skal bli herlig dere.

We are at a another weekend and tomorrow its Sunday.
Lords day, for me and Nathan its class again at Ingrin institutue.
It is good to learn new things and I enjoy doing that.
Today our daughter Sithma came back from her mission trip to Jaffna.
You can see photos online and they must have had a wonderful time.
Im glad she went and had the opportunity to share Gods Word and help the children at the orphanage.
As Saturday is the big working day we had to cover a lot of ground today with cleaning the house, go shopping, make sure all the things we usually cant get done in the week days are done.
Catch up with this and that and when we look back at today and even this week its a good week.
I look forward to tomorrow and know it will be a another great day from the Lord.

| God Can Set You Free from Your Shame Do you ever wonder what life was like for Adam and Eve before they sinned? Genesis 2:25 tells us that though Adam and Eve were naked in the Garden of Eden, they were not ashamed. I believe that in addition to indicating they were without clothes, this Scripture also implies they were totally open and honest with each other, not hiding behind any masks, not playing any games. They were free to be themselves because they had no sense of shame. Once they had sinned, however, they hid themselves (see Genesis 3:6-8). If not for the work Jesus did on the cross, all of us would have to live with the overwhelming shame of sin. But because of His sacrifice, mankind has the opportunity to enjoy perfect freedom with one another and with God. Unfortunately, most of us still live with the burden of shame, even though the Word of God promises us and assures us that we can be free of it (see Isaiah 61:7). God can deliver you from shame. Pray and ask Him to set you free from the shame that tries to build up within you. Prayer Starter: Lord, I receive the freedom from shame that You purchased for me on the cross. No more hiding, no more feeling worthless. You have erased my sin and now I want to live free and open before You. | |
