a bit hardware work

On this c I had to change 2 cables since they were worn out and old.
By a few small changes and hard disk worked much better.

its nice to have fellow norwegians visiting once home and it gives me a chance to speak norwegian which i don't do too often.

a nice cake and norwegian coffee was served. the cake was sri lankan and very delicious.

plastic looking laptop

I went to Colombo to look for hardware parts for the office.
On my way I saw this laptop and here is my verdict on this laptop.

First their own design. Ok,Yes it is but I couldnt help to think of another company called apple and their product called IBook G clamshell see second photo.
OK, there are some design differences but you see where Im going.
Battery life: 7-8 hours if word processing and emailing. Good if true. If so, wow!
2-3 hours if video, not wow.
Hardware:
Minmum for a laptop, so we move on.

Information:
Color, somehow it could work, for a girl i bet pink and other girlsh color really could make it cooler looking.
The plastic look, the cover around. Yes, the plastic look.
Size: perfect in someways, small , in your hand,
Price< I like to say you get what you pay for..But that is not true.
For me it boiled down to this, this plastic-not-fantastic was very plastic looking. Argument in favor it could be dropped from a height of 3 feet and 6-8 hours battery life, portable and for people on the move nice, but dont run movies.
Now when they say it could be dropped from a height of 3 feet I am bit freighten. My experience of dropping laptops tends to end in, bad screens and some cases hard disk or other fun hardware issues. So "dropping" laptops is far from adviceble. Price for this small thing, was roughly 470 USD. If you want to spend money on a laptop you can find better deals.
The screen and sound was not too bad, but overall remindd me about IBook Clamshell :) - Good try plastic-fantastic
