thanks to 2009

Dear friends!

I just want to thank you all who has supported us 2009 through prayers and other ways.

Itr has been a very special year.
With another year seeing our children growing up and getting older. Our oldest daughter Nethmi went from 5 to 6 grade and that was a big change for her.

For Sithma she is in 5th grade and doing well. Improving her school marks and God is good to her.

For little Elizabeth we see she is turning into a a little princess charming and a lots of fun.

 

For Roshini it has been busy in the second half and we thank God for His help in her factory and production.

For me at New Life it has been very interesting. taking important steps in renewing the computer section is under way. It is a lot of work but we have started.

At New Life we had a though year but it has progressed in the right direction and we got jobs like printing over 600,000 copies of the Gospel of Mark. And that amount will keep increasing as we will go into the new year, 2010.

We also printed 40,000 sinhalese and tamil new testaments for Sri Lanka.

Sent Bibles to China, NTs to Burma, sent NTs and Bibles to India and much more.

It was a year we were very busy at the management level. We saw changes as our Personal Manager retired and one of our most faithful bindery works, Allenson retired as well.

But 2 very important things for us at New Life are:

1. The Heidleberg started to run and is now a huge blessing for our colour books.

2. The Printing section was put under air condition and that made a huge change to the printing shop and our quality.

3. The Goss that we got repaired is now a major working machine now and spits out books in huge quantities.

 

I could keep mentioning many things but I sense a great Joy and looking forward to the 2010. What will it bring?

Many things but we look forward to the Norway trip now in 2010.
