Update on Gospel of Mark

As you know we will print the Gospel of Mark in 10 languages for the following countires India, Nepal, Pakistan and more. This map shows the languages and places where the Gospel of Mark booklets will be distributed. The total quantity requested now has been increased to 500,000. If each book is read by at least 4 people, perhaps many more, then it has the potential of reaching 2 million people or more, all over India and also into Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan. All that for only $0.10 each!

As of today, we have received $14,242 toward the goal of $45,000. Each booklet costs $0.10 each which includes the shipping to India and the local distribution being handled by World Bible Translation Center in Bangalore. We could still use some more help in order to fully fund this project. We have already ordered a container of 24 rolls of paper, plus plates, ink, staple wire and other supplies. We hope to begin printing the covers next week while we are waiting for the rest of the paper to arrive.

22.September our little princess, Elizabeth turned 1 year. And we had a small party for her.
Originally we had only invited some and twnty but we had over 35 in the end.
It was poacked and we all had a good time in the honor of little elizabeth. Since she is so small she fell asleep very soon.

Here I am

In the last few weeks we had Jon Christian, a former foreigner who worked 7 years at New Life. He comes every year back to Sri Lanka and visit us.

At the same time you can also see my working place here.

The Cross and The Switchblade

You all may knwo the book: The Cross & The Switchblade by David Wilkerson from the 50s. Later came the movie which I saw inn my early teens and facenated me a lot.

Now finally the book has been translated through New Life Literature and for the first time the book is in Sinhalese, for Sri Lankans.

We have recently printed 5,000 copies and will soon publish it.

Here you can see the cover.

Heideberg first JOB NOW, at nll

Last night we started the Heidelberg press up and today we are running the first coloring job on it.
It is the Words for Today, which is a dual language book cover. English and Chinese. This is the machine we had the accident with, but now it runs nicely.
Praise God for that.

We have now other jobs lined up so this is just wonderful.
Here you can see from the left the operators: Ajith, Priyashantha and Upul. The last one is Anthony our Supervisor in the Print section.

Election

My dear reader!
Tonight Norway is deciding who shall rule the country. The left side or the right side.
My personal views are not a secret. I prefer a more center-right government and hope the Green-Red government will loose the election tonight. We can always hope and pray for the best.

But who ever wins, the people of \Norway spoke and we must bow for that. This is after all: A democracy.
