Camelot Beach Hotel

Jeg har blitt snob. Buffet er tingen, liker service med en gang. Camelot i Negombo har det og god mat og god buffet og god pris, samt veldig koselig stab.
Liker sang og musikk til maten, men noen ganger er cu heldig og andre. Tja. Ai ai eller no bananas today. Eller Elvis immitations som ikke ligner. Sangere som tror de naar opp, men som desverre bommer totalt. Minner meg om Trubadurix i Asterix.

New Year thoughts

In Isaiah chapter 6 we read God calling Isaiah to his service.
When I read that this morning I thought about it.
When I jumped on the running machine these thtoughts in regards to this Bible verse.
My thoughts spinning round that we are no almost done with this year and a new year is before us the following tings I want to share with you.

3 things:

1. He called Isaiah to serve. So he does for some and maybe you are reading, He is asking you. Maybe you should serve
Him in some capacity. In my life even with my handicap and shortages God has equiped me. Even when it looked  hopeless
he has always come through.

2. He is also calling upon you who has not accepted Jesus as your saviour. He cleanced Isaiahs lips, his soul asnd so he can for you-. Let He be your life
cleaner.

3. Commitment.
God calls you as a believer and follower of Jesus maybe to commit more. Spend more time with the Lord.
For Isaiah it had consequences but he was willing to serve because he wanted.
Let >Him talk. Listen to His voice. To guide you day for day. And remember 1 day is enough at the time.

Also remember hyou are only 1 short word asway, JESUS away. Ask him to guide your life for the coming year.
Let us commit and embrace for the new year and see the glory and HIS FAITHFULNESS also in the cocming year.



 1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said:

 4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

      For my eyes have seen the King,
      The LORD of hosts."

6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said:


      " Behold, this has touched your lips;
      Your iniquity is taken away,
      And your sin purged."

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:


      " Whom shall I send,
      And who will go for Us?"

Then I said, "Here am I! Send me.

Now this week Sithma had her annual Christmas Party and end school year.

She was dressed up in a very nice way.

New Life Literature FC

New Life Literature was participating in the BOI Zone football cup last weekend. That was exciting indeed.
There were 9 teams so 2 had to start in a run up and then quarter finals.
NLL FC beat the first team 2-0.
So we came to the Quarter Final and this was a bit more harder. I even scored a own goal, yes I scored but in the wrong end. But we were fighters and came over it. Within 1 half we had gone from 0-1 to 3-1. We finally won 4-2 and went on to the Semi Final. Thanks to 1 beautiful goal by Dickson a new worker at New Life. Daniel had a wonderful heading into the goal too.
In the Semi-Final we did not do well. 1 goal to the other team and that stood until few minutes left of ordinary time. Then we equalized 1-1. Next is penalty shoot-out. There lost after 6 penalties were shot.
But we fought well and honestly, we had a lot of fun. You can't win them all.

New Life Literature var med i BOI sone cuppen og det ble mer spennendes enn godt var.
Vi var spent på om vi var gode for de siste 2-3 mnd.har vi trent 1 og 2 ganger i uken men ikke spilt mot noen. Siden det var 9 lag måtte 2 lag ut i en kvalifisering til kvart finalen. Den vant vi 2-0. Mye arbeid men fortjent seier. I Kvart Finalen fikk vi en mye tøffere motstand som presset og jeg klarte å score i feil ende. 0-1 til dem. Men vi reiste oss fort opp og kjempte tilbake. takket være Daniel sitt arbeid og Dickson en av våre arbeidere ble det fort 3-1 til oss. Vi vant til slutt 4-2 og nå luktet det Finale, bare et steg unna. Der ble det en annen kamp. Mye spill og lite mål.. Så scoret det andre laget og 0-1 stod til det var bare noen få minutter igjen av kampen. dfa kommer Daniel og setter inn utligningen. Da fikk vi blod på tann og ville score en gang til. Det ble med det og straffe konk neste. Jeg har aldri vert tilhenger av straffespark og der ble det tap. Men vi hadde det gøy. Vi måtte inrømme at vi koste oss og dette vil vi mer. Hadde et bra samhold i gruppa og dette likte vi. New Life Football Club vil komme sterkere tilbake neste gang.

snow white and Disney day - Snehvit kom

Last week our little girl Elizabeth had a Disney day at their Kinder garden.

And what a fun day that was.

Caracters from the Disney world was suddenly made real through our small children.

Our little girl was snow white. We found it rather fun play on words when you think she is rather white and the dress was so white and allmatched so perfectly.

She was the most beautiful girl.

I forige uke hadde Elizabeth sin barnehage disney dag. Da var alle barn kledd opp i en eller annen disney figur. Lille Elizabeth var snehvit og hun var vakker.

Hun koste seg i dressen og ville ikke ta den av seg da dagen var omme. Kan si at hun prøvde den godt ut før den store dagen ved å vandre rundt i huset hjemme og elsket å være ei prinsesse.

Mamma og pappa lo godt.

Bjoa kveld og åresalg

Mens Bjoa kvelden pågår nå så er det åresalg og barna roper og hoier.
For et show det er.
 
For oss som er vokst opp med bazar på bedehus og vestlandet så vet vi hvilken morro det kan være.
Alle sitter klistra til årene sine og lurer på, vinner jeg?
Som regel gjør en ikke det, men EN NOEN GJØR DET.

1 mnd.til Jul - 1month to Christmas

I dag er det mnd.til Jul og jeg må inrømme at da jeg slo på radioen og Last Christmas kom susende over radioen fikk en nesten Julestemnin - etter norsk standard der en ønsker hvit sne og slikt så kunne det vel ikke ha vert mer kontrast enn det jeg har. Blå himmel og sol og varme.
 
Og med tanker på at Julen er bare 1.mnd frem i tid så har vi mye arbeid som ligger forrand oss.
Hjemme som på kontoret, i kveld er det Malberiwatte kveld på Bjoa.
Vi ser frem til det.
Julen og Malberiwatte tenker du. Jo vi driver dette mat prosjektet enda og med stor glede skal mange samles ikveld på Bjoa til basar, såpise og kose seg. Lodde ut premier og samle inn mange hærlige kroner til Malberiwatte mat prosjektet.
70 barn som får mat av tante Soma.
 
Vi har også¨nå 12 barn vi støtter med skolegang og i løpet av kort tid vil vi utvide med enda ei jente, Shakina.
Julen handler om den største gaven og nå de på Bjoa skal samle inn til barna her i Sri Lanka så er de med i å gir et håp til barna, en fremtid.
